All Soul's Day!
This is a biggie, don't miss out!
All Soul's Day and its Octave (Eight Days)
offers extraordinary gifts to us through His Church.
What you need to know -
You may attend and receive the Eucharist at
Three Masses on Holy Soul's day.
At each Mass you may gain a Plenary Indulgence,
(the complete remission of earthly sin and its temporal punishment)
for yourself or anyone who has died.
To receive this grace, you must:
~ Offer your intention to receive or offer the indulgence
(Name the person)
~Receive Communion
~ Go to Confession*
~ Offer prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father
(A Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be)
Additionally during the Octave, you may obtain a plenary indulgence
for the Holy Souls in Purgatory when visiting a cemetery
or a church under the same conditions.
*You must receive the Sacrament of Penance during the week
before or following November 2.
Please remember that this good gift of the Church benefits us
by encouraging the reception of the Sacraments that grant us Grace.
We should be without serious sin and absent of the affection for sin.
This is an especially wonderful week to experience all these gifts because
the First Friday of November also falls within the Octave.
Prayer Devotions
Devotions allow us to offer our prayers
and petitions in a way that
we are joined as family,
community, and the Church Universal.
